Karim Benzema was born on 19 December 1987. He was born in Lyon,France. He is currently at the age of 32 years old. He holds the citizenship of France and lies in sagittarius in horoscope. Benzema was born in the family of Hafid and Wahida Djebbara. He has eight siblings. He was the third youngest child  of his parents and his younger brothers Gressy and Sabri are also footballers.

Karim Benzema started his career at his hometown club named “Bron Terraillon SC” when he was at the age of 8 years old. He was also nicknamed as Coco by his friends at the club and after scoring two goals in an under 10 match against the Lyon Youth academy, he grabbed the attention from the biggest club in the city. Lyon officially visited directly with the president of Bron Terraillon in the 1990s in an attempt to sign Benzema. He was quickly ascended up to the youth categories in the academy. Benzema has also served as a ballboy during Lyon senior team matches and performed well in school being described as a student who was “discreet and respectful”. He played for the senior team for the first time under the manager “Paul Le Guen” during the breakdown to the second half of the season. He played for the club Lyon for many years. 

Benzema started his journey with the famous and popular club “Real madrid” after it was announced that Lyon had reached an agreement on 1 July 2009 for the transfer of Benzema. He was signed at 35 Million Euro with the fee rising to as much as 41 Million based on incentives. On 9 July, he passed his medical and signed his contract with a six year deal. He made his first league debut for Madrid on 29 August 2009 against the famous club named “Deportivo La Coruna”. He was subtitled out in the second half as Madrid won by 3-2. He was switched to the number 9 jersey as Real Madrid were under the tutelage of new incoming manager named “Jose Mourinho” ahead of the 2010-11 season. Benzima scored a brace in the 5-0 win in the UEFA Champions League group stage on 7 November 2018. He reached the 200th goal milestone with the famous club “Real Madrid“. He was listed as the seventh Real Madrid player to achieve the feat. In six matches he totaled three goals against Viktoria Plzen, helping Real Madrid to the Group G. In the 2019-20 season, he scored against Real Madrid’s first competitive goal in the 3-1 away victory over Celta Vigo in the opening La Liga match on 17 August. Benzema extended his contract with Real Madrid until 2022 in February 2020. 

International Career: 

Benzema started his international career as he is a former France Youth international having earned caps at all levels for which he was eligible. He was a regular player in the team at under-18 level. He played his first senior match for his country after he was called up by Raymond Domenech on 9 November 2006. He played a match against Greece in the friendly match that was played on 15 November. He has also played in the 2010 FIFA World Cup. He was not picked for the Euro 2016 tournament on home soil on 13 April 2016. He was also left off the roster for the 201 FIFA World Cup which was held in Russia.
